Campaign Information

14 July to 14 September 2008 (8 week campaign)

Safe Newcastle are using innovative new technoloy and marketing methods to promote Best Bar None this summer.

The Bluetooth campaign targets customers and visitors to the city who pass through Central Station. People with Bluetooth will receive a message from Safe Newcastle asking if they wish to download a message. If they opt-in, theywill download an evoucher (electronic voucher) for special offers at Best Bar None accredited venues. We list all venues taking part so customers will know where to go for special offers. Customers will need to show the evoucher on their phone to qualify for the offer.

The campaign will be supported with carriage cards on the Metro and a large graphic on the floor of Central Station promoting Best Bar None. This will also provide us with exciting PR opportunities as we are the first organisation to use this technology in Newcastle.
