Inspection visits

February and March 2009

We will arrange appointments to visit your premises in Febraury. All visits are pre-arranged, you will know when to expect us. You will be visited by two inspectors, a police officer and a partner from Safe Newcastle, such as the fire service, the SIA, the Community Safety Unit, the council licensing team, the PCT and Metro Radio.

The visits should take approximately 1-2 hours. This is where your opportunity to show us round your premises and hi-light to us the policies and procedures you have in place.

Some of you were daunted by the prospect of opening your doors to us. Don’t be, we’re here to work with you and we don’t have any surprises up our sleeves. We decided to have less emphasis on form filling and more on the inspection visits so that we get a better picture about your premises as every pub, bar and club is different and the scheme reflects this.
