Application forms (closing deadline 30 November 2007)
To take part in the 2008 scheme, please complete the application form and return it to the Community Safety Unit, with a cheque for £35 made payable to Newcastle City Council. Click here to download an application form.

Inspection visits (January and February 2008)
Two Best Bar None inspectors will visit your premises during January and February. All visits are pre-arranged, you will know when to expect us.

Accreditation (February 2008)
Venues that meet our high standards will be given a plaque to display outside their premises. All accreduted venues will be entered into the Metro Radio Listeners' Choice award so get your customers and staff voting!

Shortlisting - Judges presentations (March 2008)
The top five scoring venues in each of the categories of pub, club and bar will be shortlisted for a special awards which will be decided by our panel of judges.

Awards Ceremony 9 March 2008
We will hold a black-tie awards ceremony to announce our winners and the Metro Radio Listeners' Choice winners.

Debriefs March - April 2007
All applicants will be given a full debrief on their application form. This will include tips on where you could have scored more points and ideas on best practice.
